Susan is a partner with Petersen & Petersen, a firm headquartered in Geauga County which is 45 minutes east of downtown Cleveland, with a state-wide plainitff’s practice. She is a past President of the state-wide Ohio Women’s Bar Association. Susan is serving a third term on the Board of Trustees for the Ohio Association for Justice as well as a seventh term on the Board of the Cleveland Academy of Trial Attorneys. In 2011, she was selected as one of “Ohio’s Top 100 Trial Lawyers” by the National Association of Trial Lawyers, an organization composed of The Top 100 Trial Lawyers from each state. In 2007, Cleveland Business Connects Magazine described her in their feature, “Above the Bar,” as a “connector” and “the type of person who can make things happen.” In 2008, Crain’s Cleveland Business Magazine named her as one of Northeast Ohio’s most influential people under the age of 40 as part of its prestigious “Forty under 40” list of area business leaders. Voted by her peers as one of Ohio’s “Rising Stars” in 2007, 2009 and 2011, she is also certified as a life member of the “Million Dollar Advocates Forum.” Susan was recently sworn in as a Member of the Bar of the Supreme Court of the United States of America. Susan continues to obtain substantial compensation awards for injured clients all over Ohio, including Cuyahoga, Lake and Geauga Counties, and her hometown of Youngstown.
