Register now for a webinar CLE on how to conduct a successful focus group online.

CATA members are experiencing significant changes in their practices due to the Covid-19 Pandemic.  One thing that hasn’t changed is the need to conduct focus groups in order to navigate the important issues in our cases. But how can we conduct focus groups safely and effectively during a pandemic? Trial lawyer and consultant John C. Camillus, Esq., together with psychologist and trial consultant Courtney Camillus, Ph.D, will show us the way of conducting focus groups by online video.

Perhaps now more than ever, focus groups are the best way to test how a jury will respond to your case. John and Courtney of Camillus Trial Consulting have been helping attorneys get the most out of online focus groups. Their tips to running a smooth online focus group are sure to come in handy as social distancing is here to stay for the foreseeable future.

John graduated first in his class from Ohio Wesleyan University before receiving his law degree from Yale Law School. He has significant trial experience and is a scholar of juror mental processes. He operates his trial consulting business with his wife, psychologist Courtney Camillus, Ph.D.

Dr. Courtney Camillus is a principal at Camillus Trial Consulting. She received her bachelor’s degree in psychology, magna cum laude, from Ohio Wesleyan University, and received her Ph.D. in psychology from The Ohio State University. Dr. Camillus has consulted on plaintiffs’ cases across the state and country, assisting plaintiffs’ counsel in the past few years that have included jury verdicts of $3M in a civil rights case, $2.6M in a medical malpractice trial, $1.7M in a securities fraud case, and $44.5M in a medical malpractice trial.  She has been consulting with plaintiffs’ lawyers and conducting focus groups since 2010.
