Register Now for this interactive webinar CLE. This CLE has already received approval for 1 CLE credit.
The purpose of the interactive webinar presentation is to educate contingency fee attorneys on their options regarding structuring attorney fees.  Structured Attorney Fees have been a commonplace solution for over 20 years.   We will review the history and precedence of attorney fee structures including an in-depth review of Childs v. Commissioner 103 T.C. 634 1994 which provides the legal basis for tax-deferral of attorney fee structures.  In addition, a thorough review of procedure necessary to effectuate an attorney fee structure will be conducted along with an overview of Qualified and Non-Qualified Assignments.

Once the foundation of contingency fee attorney structures has been established, we will shift to a review of the benefits and applications for utilizing such an arrangement.  This will be accomplished via several case studies to demonstrate the benefits of tax-deferral and saving for the future.  Lastly, a brief review of current attorney fee structure products including traditional fixed settlement annuities and variable market-based products will be completed.
